I was THIS close to joining a paranormal investigation team.

I was going to go on my first investigation on Friday night.

If I weren't trying for a baby I'd be going! But they don't want to train someone and then have them out of action for a few years.

Oh well. I probably would have shit myself and run away screaming anyway.

They wanted people with technical skills. Video editing mainly. They didn't originally say that so I sent them an email, they replied saying they really needed people with some sort of skill to offer.

fair enough. Then I got another email saying that they wanted my number to call me because they were looking for someone that didn't need any kind of experience.

I got the call and they wanted to train someone in a "stand by" capacity.

     Cool.

After much discussion it was decided i probably wasn't the best candidate because I would be pregnant soon. lol.

Yep, the investigation manager is a psychic.

    Motivation

    Saturday, February 16, 2008, 06:05 PM [General]

I started a self paced diploma in counselling when I was about 6 months pregnant. There are 24 units and it supposed to take around a month for a unit.

My daughter is now 3 and I've completed a whole TWO units. Its taken me over a year to complete each unit! lol. Talk about lazy.

I keep talking about doing it but don't DO it. There are practical units that I need to do which involve workshops and roleplay... I think thats whats holding me back.

Lately I've been doing various free online courses and its motivated me to do the accredited course that I've actually paid for!

I'm doing crystal healing course and I needed some crystals so I went shopping for them. I had a list of over 20 crystals that I needed. I came home with 29 new crystals and only 4 of them were actually on my list.

Later that night I started researching Aromatherapy diplomas. I'd love to do an aromatherapy massage course after the counselling course.

I decided to put together a bag of crystals that help with motivation, learning and study... that sort of thing.

Almost every crystal I found that helped with those sorts of things were ones I'd purchased earlier that day. That was pretty cool. They do say we are attracted to crystals who's energy we need at the time.

I know that NOTHING is going to happen until I finish the counselling course. I can't just throw away $3000.

    Earthbound

    Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 08:27 PM [Spiritual]

I think we had a couple of earthbounds here.

Layla has always been funny at night. Usually she just stalls a lot when going to bed. Occasionally she says there are monsters and she talks about eyes. I've seen shadows flash past my bedroom door and we hear light switches flicking on in the middle of the night. Usually its layla getting out of bed and turning her light on but a few times I've gone in there to tell her to get back into bed and shes fast asleep with the light off.
The shadows I've seen are the only time I've ever seen anything of that nature in my entire life. I dismissed it at the time thinking that my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Last week Vicky was telling me about her 4 year old daughter freaking about about the lady in her room. Vicky has been studying geomancy so she used her divining rods to see if there was something there. The rods indicated that there was an earthbound in the room. She commanded it to stand before her and then she did a visualisation to have it "go to the light". She asks any willing guides etc to escort the entity. Then she blessed the place in the name of Kuan Yin (sp?). She said she had the strangest feeling come over her when she did it.

Ever since then her daughter has had no problems with night terrors etc. I asked her if her daughter was there when she did it and she said Yes, but her daughter has been there before when she's done other types of clearings and blessings.

So I asked her to come over and have a look at my place. She was here when I asked her and didn't have her rods with her so I drew her a map of the house and she took it home. She said she's found an earth bound in Laylas room.

We swapped Layla into another bedroom because it was a week or so before Vicky could come back and I needed a bit of a change too. Even though we swapped room Layla still had trouble going to bed. She usually gets out of bed, turns the light on, plays with her toys and then falls asleep on the floor. Very occasioanlly when she's really tired she would fall asleep in bed with the light off. Usually she was still awake at 11 or 12 at night. I cut out afternoon naps but it didn't make a difference, she still stayed up late. I also reduced the amount of toys in her room.

So anyway, vicky came over yesterday with her divining rods and went through the house. She said she detected 2 earthbounds even though she only found one when she did it on the map. She kept saying to me "I'm new at this, I'm still learning" but I had faith in her abilities.

She found one in my bedroom which is odd because my beside lamp has been turning itself on in the middle of the night for a long time. Probably faulty wiring. So she did the visualisation and blessing.

She then found the other one in Laylas old bedroom and did the same thing.

She also found a heavy negative emotional imprint in Laylas new room and something like that might seem like a "monster" to a 3 year old.

She also dowsed up our "power" spots in the house... they are supposedly positive energy vortexes that compliment our personal energy.

Layla had no trouble sleeping last night. She went straight to sleep in her bed and didn't turn the light on at all. A few more days will tell if it was just because she was extra tired.

While I'm on the "ghost" kick here is a tale that I've just uploaded to a True Ghost Stories website.

It involves the last house I lived in.

I moved into a house in Trafalgar, Victoria that was over 100 years old, which is old by Australian standards. When I first moved in I was pregnant with my daughter and my sister stayed with me for for a few months while our parents went on a trip around Australia.

I did hear a few weird things while I was in the bathroom. Just noises in the house like someone was walking down the hallway and I didn't think a lot of it. There was a strange feeling in the bathroom too.

One night I got home from work and my sister was stressing because earlier she was in the bathroom and she'd heard me come home and walk through to the kitchen. She came out to see me and realized I wasn't even home yet.

Another night I was having a bath. It was raining outside. It was late at night and my sister was asleep in bed. I heard her get up, walk through the kitchen (the bathroom comes off the kitchen so she walked straight past the bathroom), through the laundry to the toilet and she started throwing up. I thought I better get out of the bath and see if she was ok. I checked the toilet and she wasn't there. I figured she'd already gone back to bed and when I got in there she was asleep. I woke her up and said "Did you just throw up?" She was adamant that she had not been out of bed and she looked like she'd just woken up so I don't think she was lying to me about throwing up.

The only thing I could think was that it was someone outside. I even went outside to see if there was vomit in my driveway! I knew it couldn't have been though because it was raining and the noise of the rain on the tin roof was so loud that I wouldn't have heard anyone outside, the noise was also coming from inside the house. It crossed my mind that it could have been the neighbour's in their house but again the noise of the rain would have blocked the sound and I actually used to live in the house next door and I knew the bathroom and toilet were on the other side of that house.

I had a friend come over once and her three year old son started talking to "the lady in the kitchen" and when they left he yelled out "Bye Lady!"

Just after my daughter was born we completely gutted the kitchen, laundry, toilet and bathroom, put in a slate floor and all new fixtures. We put pine lining up on all the walls and painted the roof. It was a renovation that had been planned since we moved in and nothing strange ever happened again.
